Summer Music and Beer Festival - 2019
Last year we celebrated 30 years with our Summer Music and Beer festival. Take a look at the video below to see how the day went...
A film by 'Big Ian' and some of our wonderful family members.
We wanted to create an uplifting honest film to show what works and what doesn't work when living with dementia...so we asked the real experts - those living with dementia so we made this film TOGETHER with a green screen with friends, family, carers and the whole Landermeads family.
It shows that Dementia care isn't all black and white. there are vibrant colours too.
Thank you to everyone involved including 'Big Ian' for all his input in putting this together.
Our Lovely Roy Prentice - Together We Can Make The Moment Matter
Roy had a life long dream to score a goal at Meadow Lane Football Club, the home of Notts County and we decided to make this happen. With a little help from our friend ‘Big Ian’ and Notts County to help us make Roy’s dream came true. Roy was able to go along with his friends and family (some of whom made it all the way from Spain) to take a penalty, which he scored! at half time “Well done Roy”.
Notts County are the first football club to get behind the ‘DEMENTIA IS A TEAM GAME’ campaign. A huge thank you to Notts County and ‘Big Ian’ for helping us to make this wonderful dream come true.
Below is the footage taken by Notts County, and the full full length video taken by 'Big Ian':
The Magic of Music
Quote from Big Ian "I’d turned up for a Christmas Carol Singalong but was told that Ian’s real love wasn’t Carols but 1980s favourites by Paul Young...so I picked up my guitar at Landermeads care home & this happened...."
Come fly with me...
Making dreams come true!
